2020
A new collaboration was launched between LDA and the British company Tidal Transit to create the joint venture LD Tide, dedicated to the construction and operation of a fleet of Crew Transfer Vessels (CTVs).
2021–2022
LDA sold its two remaining Capesize bulk carriers, Léopold LD (180,000 dwt) and Jean LD (172,000 dwt), followed by its thirteen Handysize bulk carriers of 40,000 dwt (La Briantais, La Chambordais, etc.). This marked the end of bulk transport — the original business activity of the Louis-Dreyfus family.
2023
Renewed commitment and sustainable recognition: The contract with Airbus was renewed, demonstrating Airbus’ trust and recognition of LDA’s high-quality services. The renewal covers the design and operation of three low-carbon, wind-assisted Ro-Ro vessels dedicated to transporting aircraft components across Europe.
The Group also obtained the Green Marine Europe label, recognizing its continuous efforts to reduce the environmental impact of its maritime activities.
2024
Louis Dreyfus Armateurs continued to actively pursue its commitment to decarbonizing maritime transport. This ambition materialized through the award of the Vattenfall contract, part of a major tender for the development of offshore wind farms, illustrating the Group’s contribution to Europe’s energy transition.
2025
Exclusive negotiations with InfraVia: The Louis-Dreyfus family entered discussions with InfraVia for the sale of 80% of LDA’s capital while retaining 20%. Édouard remained President, and the transaction aims to enable a €1 billion investment to double the fleet and accelerate innovation and the energy transition.
This new phase also saw the appointment of Samira Draoua as CEO of Louis Dreyfus Armateurs, bringing her expertise and vision to strengthen the Group’s sustainable development and operational performance.
