LD Armateurs expands its specialized fleet with the TVO Mariner, a DP2 Multipurpose Vessel

LD Armateurs Group has taken delivery of the DP2 multipurpose support vessel TVO Mariner in mid-September for its subsidiary LD TravOcean, specialized in subsea cable installation and protection. 

Strengthening the LD Armateurs’ fleet, this new vessel is part of the Group’s ambition to accelerate its growth in high-value maritime services supporting the energy transition, global connectivity and critical offshore infrastructure while expanding and modernizing its fleet. 

The acquisition of the TVO Mariner further reinforces LD TravOcean’s ability to offer fully integrated solutions. With the maritime support of the TVO Mariner, LD TravOcean enhances its capacity to manage projects from mobilization through execution and completion, supported by its comprehensive portfolio of subsea equipment, including Rovjets, mechanical trenchers, remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) and deep water ROVs. The vessel is designed to support a broad range of activities, including telecommunications cables, cable repair projects and offshore wind projects.

Designed for Versatility and Performance 

Built in 2011 according to Norwegian design standards, the TVO Mariner is an 88.3-meter multipurpose support vessel featuring a deck capacity of approximately 2,500 tons, a 950 m² working deck, including removal cargo rails, advanced dynamic positioning, and accommodation for up to 70 personnel.  

The vessel has been designed to combine operational performance with environmental responsibility. Its optimized hull design and propulsion systems contribute to reduced fuel consumption and lower emissions, while advanced noise and vibration-control measures ensure high levels of onboard comfort. 

French-Flagged and Operated by LDA Crews 

The TVO Mariner will operate under the French International Register (RIF) and be crewed by seafarers from LD Armateurs. Technical and ship management activities will be overseen by LD Armateurs, while subsea operations will be conducted by LD TravOcean’s specialist teams.
