LD Armateurs announces a new order for a ROV-DeepSea for the French Navy
Suresnes, 6 November 2026 – Following the successful operational trials of the ROV-DeepSea, developed for the French Navy, LD Armateurs signed a letter of intent with the French Defence Procurement Agency (DGA) on 3 November 2026, during the Euronaval exhibition, for the acquisition of a second remotely operated vehicle (ROV) capable of operating at depths of up to 6,000 metres.
Developed by LD TravOcean to address the strategic challenges of exploration, surveillance and intervention in the deep sea, the ROV-DeepSea recently demonstrated its capabilities during successful operational trials. This new milestone further confirms the confidence placed in LD Armateurs’ expertise and the technological solutions developed by its teams.
“The success of these qualification trials confirms the robustness of the solution developed by our team, as well as our expertise in complex technologies dedicated to the protection of sovereign underwater infrastructure. We are proud to now be part of France’s Defence Technological and Industrial Base,” said Olivier Le Nagard, Managing Director of LD TravOcean.
