These new generation Capesize ships offer an optimized design allowing significant lower fuel consumption compared to existing vessels. The new design reduces fuel consumption by 7 to 8 tons per day (57/58 tons daily compared to 65 for the current Capesize), saving around 2,000 tons per year. The new ships can reach the speed of 14.5 knots.
