Buyer / Purchaser (M/ F)

Mission:

The Technical Department of the LDA group, based at the headquarters, is looking for its future “Buyer / Purchaser” (M/ F).

His/her role will be to implement the directives concerning the purchasing policy and delivery of technical parts of all kinds for ships.

He/she will carry out all the tasks necessary for the smooth running of the ships and the Technical Department and/or which may result from customer requests:

• Identifies, clarifies the need with the shipboard and judges the relevance of the specification,
• Verify the adequacy between the supplier’s offer and the ship’s needs,
• Consults the ship’s engineer in charge of the ship,
• Estimates the degree of urgency of the shipboard requests in case of absence of the Engineer,
• Requests the coding or modification of item codes from the Database
• Administrator,
• Prepares the order and requests validation,
• Organizes and follows the routing of the parts to the delivery point stipulated on the order form,
• Controls the acceptance of the material on the ship,
• Maintains the status of the orders not delivered on the scheduled date in order to follow-up with the supplier,
• Selects suppliers (equipment, parts, consumables),
• Evaluates suppliers.

Prerequisites:

Initial training:

Bac + 2 BTS/ DUT or equivalent technical training with a specialization in mechanics, automation and/or hydraulics.

Experience:

Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a similar position, ideally in the maritime or offshore sector.

Language(s):

English: read, written, spoken fluently.

Abilities :

Autonomy, rigor and versatility.

Relational intelligence, team spirit and adaptability.

Skills :

Mastery of MS office software.
