ISM

The International Safety Management Certification (ISM) means the International Management Code for the Safe Operation of Ships and for Pollution Prevention.

The Chapter IX of the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS Convention) requires compliance with the ISM Code. It requires protective measures to be established in relation to the safety and pollution risks associated with activities on board.
