The activity of laying submarine cables and burying them for further protection is performed using the know-how of LOUIS DREYFUS TRAVOCEAN, a fully-owned subsidiary of the LOUIS DREYFUS ARMATEURS Group. Founded in 1977, it was acquired in 1998 and maintains its headquarters in Marseilles.

The company also develops a know-how in the design and construction of its own submarine robots and tailored equipment (ROV, trenchers, ploughs…) in order to meet its clients’ expectations more efficiently. Relying on a solid reputation and an internationally recognised expertise, LOUIS DREYFUS TRAVOCEAN is a major actor in the European offshore windfarm industry. We ambition to play a key role in the French Renewable Marine Energies (RME) industry cluster.

Over the years, LOUIS DREYFUS TRAVOCEAN acquired a unique expertise in the fields of submarine cable installation and protection in shallow waters covering all types of seabeds (from very soft to very hard), as well as all cable types (fiber optic, electric cables or umbilical cables for the offshore oil and gas industry).

LOUIS DREYFUS TRAVOCEAN also proposes all inclusive installations throughout the world, including factory-to-site cable transportation, mobilisation of ships or installation barges, cable laying and burial operations, and installation of  additional protections.
