Singapore, Saturday 14th March 2009 - “I name this ship Ciudad de Cadiz, may God bless this ship and all who sail on her” declared this morning Mrs Anaïs Louis-Dreyfus, God mother of the vessel and spouse of Mr. Edouard Louis-Dreyfus, Vice-president of LDA, while she was naming the ro-ro vessel at Singapore Technologies Marine shipyard, in presence of guests and executives from France, Norway and Singapore.
Nine months after the naming ceremony in Singapore of City of Hamburg, Louis Dreyfus Armateurs, Leif Höegh and Singapore Technologies Marine are celebrating her sistership Ciudad de Cadiz.
This new roro vessel ordered to Singapore Technologies Marine shipyard is due to be delivered in the second quarter 2009. The vessel will be registered under the French RIF flag.
Mr. Chang Cheow Teck, President of Singapore Technologies Marine and Mr. Philippe Louis-Dreyfus, President of LDA are very proud of this new illustration of strong partnership and confidence between the Singaporean shipyard and the two European shipowners and partners, Louis Dreyfus Armateurs and Leif Höegh, which have been working together hand in hand for about two years now.
