First coal cargo for new Prony Energies power plant
Located in the Southern part of New Caledonia, the new Prony Energies power plant receives its first cargo of coal.
M/V "Millennium Bright," a handysize vessel controlled by Cetragpa, discharged in November 2007 24.434 metric tons of coal from Australia. The 2 x 50 MW power plant will burn abt 350.000 metric tons of coal annually, delivering power to the new Goro Nickel Plant and to the New Caledonian grid.
Cetragpa is entrusted with the carriage of coal under a long term contract.
