Two Capesize ordered in South Korea
Paris, January 2, 2004
– Louis Dreyfus Armateurs announced today the order placed with the South Korean
shipyard, Daewoo (DSME), for two Capesize vessels with an option for a third.
These vessels, due to be delivered in the second half of 2005, are state-of-the-art
ships. They will be among the first of their kind to be equipped with both
a double-hull and a freefall lifeboat.
The ships will be registered under the French flag.
