Two new ro-ro vessels for Airbus
LOUIS DREYFUS ARMATEURS
S.A.S. (LDA) associated to LEIF HOEGH A.S.A. of Norway is happy to announce
the order of two ro-ro vessels at SINGAPORE TECHNOLOGIES MARINE shipyard.
The vessels will be delivered between May and December 2008.
These two ships will be chartered by AIRBUS for the transportation of the
A380 aircraft oversized components.
LDA praises this new step in its relationship with AIRBUS INDUSTRIES, relationship which started five years ago and materialized with the delivery of the VILLE DE BORDEAUX. It is obvious that the experience and the know-how of LDA's teams have been instrumental in the development of an innovative maritime solution inside AIRBUS global logistics.
It evidences how competitive, efficient and flexible the maritime transport can be. And it confirms AIRBUS' faith and support in this credible alternative to road transport, contributing to reduce the dependence on ground transportation systems. LDA is very proud to offer such services to its customers.
