Philippe Louis-Dreyfus

In 1974, after having acquired shipping experience abroad in London and Oslo, Philippe Louis-Dreyfus joined the maritime division of the Louis Dreyfus group two years before creating a specialized shipping finance department at Banque Louis Dreyfus.
After several years in the banking sector at Banque Louis Dreyfus and at Banque Pallas France, in charge of the business and corporate division, and finally as President of Credit Naval, he returned to his family business, taken the responsibility of its maritime division Louis Dreyfus Armateurs.

In October 2007, he took 100 % control, with his children, Charlotte, Marie and Edouard, of Louis Dreyfus Armateurs.
Philippe Louis-Dreyfus was elected President of Armateurs de France (the French Shipowners‘association) and also President of the European Community Shipowners’ Association (ECSA) of which he remains Vice-president.
He is also member of the board of Bureau Veritas, of the UK P&I Club, of the French Foreign Trade Council and of the French Business Confederation.
Active sport man, Philippe Louis-Dreyfus has been French Team Champion in Squash and selected at National University level in Rugby.

Among others decorations, Philippe Louis-Dreyfus is Officer of the Legion of Honor (French national honorary decoration) and Officer of the British Empire (OBE).


Alain Le Guillard

Alain Le Guillard joined Louis Dreyfus Armateurs in 1976. In 1988, after having climbed up all echelons of hierarchy, he became - at age 31 -master mariner for Louis Dreyfus Armateurs fleet.

In 1992, he joined the Paris based headquarters and took the position of technical fleet manager, in charge of a booming diversified fleet.
He is appointed in 1999 fleet general manager of Louis Dreyfus Armateurs group and member of the Executive committee since 2000.

Alain Le Guillard is chief operating officer in charge of operations of the group since 2007.
He is also administrator of Union Sociale Maritime, Service Social Maritime and represents the Louis Dreyfus Armateurs group at North of England P& I Club and Strike Club.

Alain Le Guillard is Chevalier du Mérite Maritime and Chevalier de l'Ordre National du Mérite.


Edouard Louis-Dreyfus

Graduated from University of Paris X Nanterre (law diploma) and French Business School of Rouen (ESC), Edouard Louis-Dreyfus started his career  from 2000 to 2002 at Texaco in London  as a trader of liquid gas and refined products.

He joined the Louis Dreyfus London group end 2002 as a trader sugar/coffee and started in 2004 his maritime career at the Paris based headquarters, as a main actor in LD Lines’ development, the ropax lines subsidiaries of Louis Dreyfus Armateurs group.
Beginning 2006, he was in charge of capesize desk of Cetragpa, the bulk transportation subsidiary.
He is a member of the Executive Committee and vice-president of Louis Dreyfus Armateurs group since 2009.

Edouard Louis-Dreyfus’ responsibilities also include business coordination between Louis Dreyfus Armateurs and all subsidiaries and supervision of bulk activity within LDA Executive Committee.


Gildas Maire

Graduated from Paris IX Dauphine University (Master's degree in Finance), Gildas Maire joined the Louis Dreyfus group in 1990 and was in charge of consolidation department in London. In 1995, he managed the energies activities department of LD Energy in France.

He then joined the maritime branch of the group in 2002 and after being appointed finance and administration director of Louis Dreyfus Armateurs, he became member of the executive committee.

In 2006, at age 42, he has been appointed chief operating officer, finance-administration of Louis Dreyfus Armateurs group.
